After deliberating the group decided we should now opt for
the horror genre, the main aim of which is to elicit terror from audiences by
playing on their fears. They often have themes of the supernatural and fantasy
genres. Often you’ll see aspects of thrillers merged in as the two contain
similar conventions and themes.
Often they orientate around the theme of an evil force (the
supernatural) such as poltergeists, demons, elderly haunted women and zombies.
We plan on focusing on this fear of the unknown which is prevalent in most
horrors.
